I had always wanted to 'pot', but my very busy life as a Make-up and Hair Designer in television and film prevented me from developing this interest. Towards the end of my career I specialised in prosthetic make-up using some of the skills that I now use in my clay work.
At the turning point in my life, quite by accident, I studied for an HNC in Ceramics at Swindon College. This amazing experience finally unleashed my desire to 'play with clay'.
The clay takes me on a journey of exploration, satisfying some primeval urge. Opening the kiln at the end of one of these journeys, never ceases to surprise and delight me. It is a joy!
